Frequently asked questions about Offrendo

Answers for clients and providers: costs, process, data protection, choice of providers and comparing quotes in Switzerland.

Understanding Offrendo

What is Offrendo?

Offrendo is a Swiss platform where private individuals and companies can request and compare quotes for services free of charge. You describe your project once, and suitable providers from your region can get in touch with a quote. Up to 3 providers can take on the same request.

Can companies also submit requests (B2B)?

Yes. Offrendo is for private individuals and companies: businesses, property management companies, associations and municipalities obtain quotes from other companies free of charge – for example for office cleaning, office relocation, IT and web design, accounting and fiduciary services (Treuhand), caretaking, catering or recruitment. In the request form, you can optionally enter the company name; providers will then see that it is a business request.

Where can I compare quotes free of charge in Switzerland?

On offrendo.ch: in around two minutes, you submit a request for trades, moving, cleaning, gardening, car garages, IT, web design, accounting and fiduciary services and more – 42 categories in total. The request is free and without obligation; up to 3 Swiss providers can send you a quote.

How does Offrendo work?

In four steps: 1. choose the category and service, 2. describe the project, 3. enter the location and time frame, 4. leave your contact details. We then inform suitable providers from your region. A maximum of 3 of them can unlock your contact details and send you a quote. You compare and decide for yourself.

Who is Offrendo intended for?

For private individuals, apartment and home owners, property management companies and businesses in Switzerland that want to award a service – and for Swiss companies that want to receive new client requests from their region.

Is Offrendo available throughout Switzerland?

Yes. Offrendo is available in all 26 cantons and can be used in German, French, Italian and English. Providers define their service area by canton or radius, so that requests are assigned to the right region.

What sets Offrendo apart from traditional referral platforms?

Three things: suitable providers are informed, but only a maximum of 3 can unlock a request – instead of many receiving it; clients pay nothing, and providers pay neither a subscription nor a commission, only a fixed amount per request they unlock. Contact details are never displayed publicly.

How is Offrendo funded?

Exclusively through providers: a company pays CHF 19.90 when it unlocks the contact details of a request. There is no basic fee, no mandatory subscription and no commission on the job; providers can optionally book clearly labelled Premium visibility. Clients pay nothing.

Is Offrendo a Swiss company?

Yes. Offrendo is operated from Näfels in the canton of Glarus; the platform is aimed at clients and providers in Switzerland and is subject to Swiss data protection law.

How does Offrendo check providers?

When providers register, we check their company details, contact details and area of activity for plausibility. This does not constitute a professional certification or a guarantee of a company’s quality. We block providers who receive negative feedback. You should therefore check references, insurance and the commercial register entry yourself – you will find tips on this in the question «How do I recognise a reputable provider?».

What do request, lead and quote mean at Offrendo?

A request is the project description that a client creates on Offrendo. A lead is the same request from the provider’s point of view: a client request that they can unlock for CHF 19.90. A quote is the price offer that a provider makes to the client.

For clients

Is Offrendo free for clients?

Yes, completely. Submitting a request and receiving and comparing quotes costs nothing. No fees arise later either, regardless of whether you award a job or not.

Do I need to register to submit a request?

No. You only provide your name, email and, optionally, your phone number. After submitting, you receive a personal link to your request area, where you can see providers, quotes and messages – without a password.

How many companies receive my request?

Suitable providers from your region are informed. A maximum of 3 of them can unlock it and contact you. After that, the request is closed to further providers.

Will I receive lots of sales calls after submitting a request?

No. Suitable providers first receive only a notification with the project details (service, location, description) – without your name or contact details. Only the maximum of 3 providers who unlock your request then see your contact details; they pay Offrendo a fee for this. These providers then contact you – a quote is not guaranteed. Your data is not published and not passed on to anyone else. You can also choose whether you would like to be contacted by email or by callback.

Am I obliged to accept a quote?

No. The request is without obligation. You compare the quotes at your leisure and decide for yourself whether and with whom you want to work.

How quickly will I receive quotes?

Providers are informed immediately after you submit your request. Whether and when you receive quotes depends on the region, the service and provider availability. Up to three providers can take on your request. For urgent projects, select «As soon as possible» in the request form.

Which services can I compare via Offrendo?

42 categories: moving, cleaning, painting, electrical work, plumbing, heating, carpentry, flooring, landscaping, roofing, windows, kitchen fitting, car garages, IT and web design, photography, accounting and fiduciary services (Treuhand), security and more. You can find the full list under «Services».

Can I change or delete my request afterwards?

Yes. The link in your confirmation email takes you to your request area. There you can write to providers and close the request. On request, we will delete your data completely – a short message to our contact address is all it takes.

How do I recognise a reputable provider?

Look for a complete company profile with an address, a clear description of services, references or reviews, a transparent quote with itemised positions rather than just a lump sum, and liability insurance. Ask about the commercial register entry and how additional work is handled.

How many quotes should I obtain?

Two to three comparable quotes are enough in most cases. More increases the effort without significantly improving the picture. That is why Offrendo limits the number of providers per request to 3.

Is the cheapest quote automatically the best?

No. Check whether all services are included, whether materials, travel, disposal and VAT are shown, and whether the date and guarantee suit you. A conspicuously low price often indicates missing items.

What should I look out for when comparing quotes?

The same scope of services, clear units (hours, m², lump sums), rules for additional work, payment terms, period of validity, insurance and guarantee. Compare total costs, not just hourly rates.

How detailed should a quote be?

It should list services individually, state quantities and units, show materials separately, include the time frame and set out the conditions for changes. A plain lump sum without a breakdown is difficult to compare.

How do I best describe my project?

Briefly and specifically: what needs to be done, how large is the scope (rooms, m², number of items), by when, and are there any special features? You can upload photos or plans directly in the request – this improves the quotes considerably.

Can I upload photos with my request?

Yes, up to five images or PDF plans. Providers see them after unlocking the request, which allows them to quote more accurately.

What happens to my data?

Your details are only used to match your request. Contact details are visible exclusively to the maximum of 3 providers who have taken on your request. Swiss data protection law applies; details can be found in the privacy policy.

Can I also use Offrendo as a company or property management company?

Yes. Companies, property management companies and institutions use Offrendo in the same way as private individuals. For regular requests, a precise project description with scope and dates is recommended.

Can I rate providers after the job?

Yes. Once contact has been completed, clients can rate the provider. Only reviews from people who actually had contact via Offrendo are published – no anonymous third-party reviews.

For providers

What does Offrendo cost for providers?

There is no basic fee, no subscription and no commission. You pay CHF 19.90 per request that you unlock. The amount is deducted from your credit or paid by card.

Do I need a subscription?

No. Registration is free and has no minimum term. You can view requests at any time and decide for each one individually whether to unlock it.

Do I have to pay commission on jobs?

No. Offrendo does not charge any sales commission. Whether you win a job and at what price remains solely between you and the client.

What exactly does a lead cost?

An unlocked lead costs CHF 19.90. This gives you the client’s name, phone number and email, the message window and the quote tool. The price is the same for all categories.

How many providers receive the same lead?

Up to 3. As soon as 3 providers have unlocked a request, it is closed to everyone else. Before purchasing, you can see how many places are still free.

Can I decline or select leads?

Yes. Before unlocking, you see the project description, services, location, time frame and the number of any photos, and you decide yourself for each request. There is no automatic charge.

What do I see before unlocking?

Category, selected services, description, location with canton, time frame, preferred contact method (email or callback) and the number of free provider places. Contact details and photos only become visible after unlocking.

How does provider registration work?

Enter your company, contact person, email and password – this takes about two minutes. You then choose your categories and service area (cantons or radius). From then on, you receive suitable requests by email and in the portal.

Which categories is Offrendo suitable for?

For 42 service categories, from trades and construction to moving, cleaning and gardening, through to car garages, IT, web design, photography and accounting and fiduciary services (Treuhand). You can choose several categories at the same time.

How do I define my service area?

Either by canton or by a radius in kilometres around your location. You only receive requests from this area.

What happens if a client does not respond?

Write to the client via the message window; they will receive an email notification. If a request remains unreachable despite demonstrably incorrect contact details, get in touch with us – we will review the case and credit the amount for justified complaints.

Can I send quotes directly via Offrendo?

Yes. The integrated quote tool creates a quote with itemised positions, VAT and your logo; the client sees it in their request area and can accept it. You can also send quotes in your usual way.

How do I pay for unlocked requests?

With credit that you top up by card (Stripe) or on invoice, or directly by card when unlocking. Credit does not expire.

Can I delete my account at any time?

Yes. There is no minimum term and no notice period. We will discuss any unused credit with you individually.

Will my company profile appear publicly?

Only if you wish. Companies with a public profile are shown as verified providers with logo, services and reviews on the map and in the directory. You can hide the profile in the settings.

What is «Premium Visibility»?

An optional monthly add-on package: your company appears as a clearly labelled Premium Partner on cost calculators and category pages in the municipalities of your service area, with logo, short description and a direct route to the request. It can be cancelled at any time and remains active until the end of the paid period. Offrendo can still be used without a subscription, basic fee or commission – Premium is not a requirement for purchasing requests.

How are providers selected?

By category and service area: a request goes to registered companies whose categories and area match the request. The order of unlocking determines who receives the maximum of 3 places.
