Assumptions and sources

The calculator provides an indicative price, not a quote. It is based on the editorially reviewed price guides: end-of-tenancy cleaning of a 3.5-room apartment with handover guarantee CHF 650 – 1'300, regular cleaning by a cleaning company CHF 45 – 80 per hour, window cleaning CHF 10 – 25 per window, office cleaning CHF 40 – 65 per hour. Assumptions by the Offrendo editorial team: size based on living space (85 m² = baseline) or number of rooms; deep cleaning without guarantee 75% of end-of-tenancy cleaning; 8 windows and 1 bathroom included in the base price, each additional bathroom CHF 60 – 120, balcony CHF 50 – 120, cellar or attic CHF 40 – 100, oven and intensive kitchen cleaning CHF 40 – 120; heavy soiling 20 – 35% surcharge; regular cleaning 0.045 hours per m² (minimum 2 hours), office cleaning 0.02 hours per m²; 8% surcharge in the cantons of Zurich, Geneva, Basel-Stadt, Zug and Vaud; end-of-tenancy cleaning at the end of the month 10 – 20% surcharge. These factors are industry experience values, not Offrendo statistics. Offrendo market data will be included as soon as there are at least 20 quotes.

How much does a cleaning company cost per hour?

In Switzerland, cleaning companies usually charge CHF 45 – 80 per hour incl. materials, insurance and social security contributions; office cleaning is slightly cheaper. Flat rates per job are often more transparent than hourly rates – so compare the total price for the same scope of services.

Why is end-of-tenancy cleaning more expensive?

With end-of-tenancy cleaning with handover guarantee, the company remains responsible until the apartment has been successfully handed over and immediately fixes any complaints – this risk and the extra effort (oven, grout, blinds) are reflected in the price.
